Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Our own servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Our host may keep standard server-log information, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review aggregated information to maintain the service and understand general page use. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
Information supports site operation, troubleshooting, aggregate traffic measurement, and improvements to the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites and Tools
Links lead to Sarpy County and Nebraska portals, library and archive collections, and third-party search services. The receiving service’s policy governs information submitted there, including information supplied to sponsored search results operated by a third party.
Who May Receive Information
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it and otherwise do not share it beyond these service functions.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above. Because the site has no user accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile that could be exposed here.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Nebraska Privacy Choices
The Nebraska Data Privacy Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§87-1101–87-1130, is Nebraska’s consumer-privacy framework, subject to its applicability thresholds and exemptions. You may ask about personal information we hold through the Contact page. Because we hold very little, requests normally involve the contact mailbox and available server logs. Public records remain with their government custodian and are subject to the Nebraska Public Records Statutes, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§84-712–84-712.09, not this policy. Voter-register use is controlled by §32-330, with confidential and private information protected under §32-331. Vital records require proper purpose, court files can be sealed or otherwise excluded from public access, and DMV personal information is restricted under the federal DPPA and Neb. Rev. Stat. §§60-2901–60-2912.
Changes to This Policy
We will post revisions to this policy on this page. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
